February 14th Weekly Reading: Storytelling
This week’s Weekly Reading is based on the importance of Storytelling. Telling a good story isn’t just reserved for TV shows, movies, and books. At Moon Landing, we consider marketing and PR to be the business of storytelling; it’s at the heart of everything we do for our clients. We feel that the articles shared this week do a perfect job of reinforcing storytelling’s importance in the world of business.
In their best-selling book The Storytelling Edge: How to Transform Your Business, Stop Screaming Into the Void, and Make People Love You authors Joe Lazauskas and Shane Snow detail the neuroscience behind a good story. They do this, ironically, by telling stories throughout the article. Having a deeper understanding of how a good story affects a consumer’s brain can (and should!) always be used to your business’s advantage.
